Meet Matthew “Matty” Lunney
I’m excited to announce my candidacy for election as State Representative, for Meredith, Belknap District 2. I look forward to representing the best interests of our Meredith community and pledge to collaborate with my fellow legislators and delegates to ensure New Hampshire remains a safe state that values the freedom and natural beauty that we all enjoy.
My family has lived in Meredith since 1921 when my grandfather first built a small cabin on Bear Island and started an over 100-year legacy within our town. I grew up in Moultonborough and Meredith, which instilled small-town values in me at a youthful age that I continue to build upon as a resident of Meredith. I am running to continue promoting these values for all constituents of our great town.
I am a small business owner of a staffing agency focused on assisting people find employment that benefits the individual and business clients that I work with daily.
My Priorities
Low Taxes
I will work to keep state costs down so you keep more of your paycheck. I will strongly oppose any sales or income tax and support limited government and local control.
Protect Your Rights
I will defend all of your Constitutional freedoms, including 2nd Amendment.
Safe Communities
I stand behind our police and first responders. I will support laws to prevent squatters and never vote for sanctuary cities.
Parental Rights
Parents have a fundamental right to direct their children’s education and upbringing.
